Many of us shelter photographers, volunteer at the SPCA Tampa Bay. They have a nice little weekly contest for us SPCA photographers. They pick the best photo & bio from a 7 day week period and post it. Below are the winners to date. Although we are solely shelter volunteers and pawzitiveprint.com is not a part of any organization, as photographer volunteers we appreciate the SPCA Tampa Bay allowing us to post their weekly photo & bio winner archives for our enjoyment. If you like the photos & talented bios below and would like to help, please consider volunteering or a small  Donation would go a long way to help too. Please visit the SPCA tampabay to adopt and learn more.

Photo & Bio Of The Week Archives...

Congratulations to Anne Rogers for the wonderful picture of Kaya #12938803

And a second congratulations to Debbie Conigliaro for the creative bio of Shadow #12727455 !

This handsome fellow was just named Shadow. He seems to be a real easy-going guy. Shadow is about 70 pounds, but looks larger due to his fluffy coat. He came to the SPCA Tampa Bay through DART. Shadow dreams of being adopted by a nice, caring individual or family. He also dreams of stretching out on a cool tile floor in the air conditioning. Shadow walks well on a leash and is learning basic obedience from the volunteers. Please come by the shelter and say hello to Shadow - he would love to meet you.

Congratulations to Jeff Limes for the wonderful picture of Bear #12891944.

And a second congratulations to Cindy Schneller for the creative bio of Lilly #12841460 !

Meet Lilly - a beautiful girl with strikingly crystal green eyes who is ready to settle into a quiet home where she can learn what it is like to be the center of attention. A young girl, Lilly came from a family that had too many animals and needed the SPCA Tampa Bay to help find her a new lifetime home. Even though this young girl has experience living with other companion animals, we aren't sure about her experience with children. Lilly likes the life as an inside cat where she doesn't have to dodge the dangers of the outdoor world. Sweet and gentle just like the flower, Lilly does enjoy the company of her human companions. If you are looking for a special feline that would adore having a special someone - come in and meet Lilly.

Congratulations to Anne Rogers for the wonderful picture of Daphnie #12782427.

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Kendra #11673514 !

Meet Kendra. She's a boxer mix who loves her toys. She'd like to live in a home as an only dog (because she'd just prefer her toys and your company). She also enjoys dog days out with her dog friends too! Kendra is a fun loving, people dog. Her antics will make you chuckle. Her favorite toy is a ball because she likes to make it "pop" up by pushing down on the ball using her paws! Kendra has a lot of fun energy and also loves the water, so going to a doggie beach would be great fun! Ask to walk Kendra around the yard today and fall in love with her!

Congratulations to Jim McCook for the wonderful picture of Diesel #12727415

And a second congratulations to Jeff Limes for the creative bio of Jackie #12647016 !

Meet Jackie - a girl with Camelot sophistication and charm that wants to capture your interest and heart. Sadly Jackie came to the SPCA Tampa Bay as an injured stray; her left eye severely wounded and suffering from an allergic reaction to fleas. Looking at this full figured girl she must have enjoyed the life as an inside cat, but lost both her way and family. Since we don't know much about much about Jackie, her new family will have the pleasure and fun of discovering the life experiences she may embrace. While having her photo taken we did find that Jackie enjoys having her head rubbed and chin scratched. Once she got to know the volunteers in the room she would approach them for attention. If you are looking for a very special cat, Jackie may be the girl for you. Jackie needs a change - a new loving home and she is ready to go to one today.

Congratulations to Cindy Schneller for the wonderful picture of Bob #6936366

And a second congratulations to Deb Conigliaro for the creative bio of Foxy #12348320 !

Foxy Lady is a lovely black and white hound mix, who is approximately 7 years old. She was at another shelter that ran out of space, so she came to the SPCA Tampa Bay to find her new loving family. Foxy is very much a hound dog who really likes to hunt lizards. There are just so many of them! She also seems pretty interested in deciphering the multitude of smells in the yard. Foxy weighs approximately 77 pounds and is a strong girl. She is very interested in finding her forever home. Please come and visit Foxy - she will be waiting for you.

Congratulations to Debbie Conigliaro for the wonderful picture of Diva #12444123.

And a second congratulations to Anne Rogers for the creative bio of Cholie #12501520 !

Cholie is looking for a new home because her owner was a victim of domestic violence. She is a lovely and friendly lap cat. She is loyal and friendly and sweet, so easy to love. Her former owner wants you to know "she is very loving and will become very close to you and be your best friend. Please give her a good life like I did. She's a great cat and this is killing me; so, you now will have a piece of my heart with you. Thank you for loving my daughter."

Congratulations to Gwen Hartwell for the wonderful picture of Daisy #1234589.

And a second congratulations to Candy Helber for the creative bio of Kiah#12348273!

Kiah is a young, 56-pound Labrador retriever mix. She has a lot of energy and is very glad to get out of her kennel in the mornings. Kiah with enough exercise calms down nicely during the day. She will do best in an active home with a fenced yard. The volunteers at SPCA have worked with her pulling a "chariot" for exercise. Kiah has also been in the SPCA play yard with other dogs for some playtime. Stop by SPCA Tampa Bay to meet Kiah and give her a new loving forever home.

Congratulations to Karen Scarpinato for the wonderful picture of Carly #11992057.

And a second congratulations to Ingrid Brustad for the creative bio of Zena #12251282 !

You can see why my previous owners named me after a warrior princess! I'm beautiful, intelligent and obedient - most of the time. I love fetching tennis balls, playing and staying active. That hunk in the picture with me is my brother, Zeke. We really want to go to the same home. We are both housetrained and have lived with cats. We are friendly and would love the opportunity to meet you. We are waiting at the SPCA Tampa Bay, so come today!

Congratulations to Jim McCook for the wonderful picture of Duke #12059901.

And a second congratulations to Phyllis Combs for the creative bio of Kitty #12172681 !

I'm a purr..fect little lady and I just want to be loved and love you forever. My family started sneezing and said it was my fault but I think it was the dog. They brought me to the SPCA anyway, so here I am. I am a beautiful Calico with all the love in the world to give. I use my litter box and scratch pads. I love kids both older and younger, cats are great and dogs are a real plus in my world. Interested in me? I am worth all the effort to come and see me and you will be on the way to the best adopted cat ever. So, come and get me. Love Kitty

Congratulations to Debbie Conigliaro for the wonderful picture of Desi #12032382 .

And a second congratulations to Michelle Angermeier for the creative bio of Diamond #12186293 !

The very first thing you need to know about Diamond is that he is BIG. His lovely fluffiness weighs in at over 15 pounds! He is like a lot of big guys, a gentle giant. Diamond is a furry sweetheart that you just want to brush and comb and hug and hold. He is friendly and enjoys attention. Diamond's green eyes add that extra bit of handsome. He is good with other cats but shy with young children. He has a soft touch and is willing to stretch out by your side. Adopt Diamond and you will bring home a sprawling, easy going hunk.

Congratulations to Cindy Schneller for the wonderful picture of Mickey #10427155 .

And a second congratulations to Debbie Conigliaro for the creative bio of Tigger #11947310 !

Ok, the word "loving" doesn't begin to describe how sweet, kind and gentle this dog is. Tigger will roll over on her back for a belly rub at the drop of a hat and snuggle up close to you as you are sitting on the couch. She just loves to be loved. Tigger was brought to the SPCA Tampa Bay because her owner was moving and now she is looking for a new forever family. She walks well on a leash and will sit for a treat. She slept in a crate at her previous home and would love to have a nice warm, home to call her own. Tigger is a gentle soul and would prefer a home with children over the age of 10. If you are looking for a new wonderful, loyal friend, please come visit Tigger!

Congratulations to Karen Scarpinato for the wonderful picture of Thumper #12008237.

And a second congratulations to Phyllis Combs for the creative bio of Hopper #11757491 !

This is Hopper, our 3-legged 10-month-old beautiful Tiger cat that left home and became a stray and was injured and one of his legs was amputated. He moves well and is really fast so I don't think he knows one of his legs is missing. He is a very loving cat and curious while having his photos taken, he loved his chin rubbed and checked out every crook and cranny in the entire room. He has a beautiful rounded face with gold almond-shape eyes. Hopper always uses his litter box and loves a scratching pad still. He has a beautiful personality, and being a runaway we do not know much about his past, so we are going with his new future and asking for a forever family to come and rescue this little young boy. He is one of our special cats that was put at the SPCA for a beautiful person to love as he is healthy and young. Please adopt this little boy!

Congratulations to Candy Helber for the wonderful picture of Rusty #11730126.

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Diva #11613866 !

Diva is blue, not only in color, but because she is waiting for you. House-trained and energetic, this girl is looking forward to attending the free training class offered to adoptors. She is quick to learn and is working hard to be a good girl.

Congratulations to Anne Rogers for the wonderful picture of Jeff #11710314.

And a second congratulations to Ingrid Brustad for the creative bio of Bella #11907927 !

Meet the adorable Bella - a young, smart Pit Bull mix. Bella does have a disability - she is deaf. She is not letting that stop her though. Bella is learning signs for sit and down. Bella is house-trained and has lived with other pets before. She will do best in a home with children at least 10 years old who can understand her special needs. Bella is friendly, active, playful and very loveable. Visit Bella at the SPCA Tampa Bay!

Congratulations to Candy Helber for the wonderful picture of Rusty #11730126.

And a second congratulations to Deb Conigliaro for the creative bio of Cutie #11527807 !

Cutie is a 9 month old puppy that is just bubbling over with love and energy. She is already housetrained and likes to sleep in her crate at night. When we took Cutie out to the play yard, she and her friend Mia (also available for adoption at the SPCA Tampa Bay) had an exhausting running, jumping and playing fest. The second photo shows them both resting after all the excitement. Cutie knows how to sit on command and is very lovable, however she may be a little exuberant for children under 10. If you are looking for a beautiful, friendly companion, please consider Cutie!

Congratulations to Allison Turbee for the wonderful picture of Archie #11415231.

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Mia #11673774 !

If you are looking for a great companion that is full of energy and playfulness, Mia is your lucky number! This fun loving gal with a beautiful short smooth Brindle Tawny coat, droopy ears and long tail is friendly and lovable. She is very intelligent and treat motivated. She tips the scale at 63 pounds and is very playful with other dogs. At only 1 year and 5 months old, she is still all puppy at heart. Because Mia is a growing canine, you may need to talk to the staff about small children; but, she would make a great buddy for older kids. Mia has a good handle on obedience skills and communicates well with her eyes and tail. She is waiting for you at the SPCA Tampabay, 9099 130 Ave N., Largo (727)586-3591

Congratulations to Chris Baxter for the wonderful picture of Diva #11578542.

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Blue #09984454!

Hello there, I'm blue because I need a home. I'm a sweet and playful looker at 9 months old. My friends love my salt & pepper color. I'm a Coonhound/Pointer mix. And I follow my nose. I'm working on my leash skills because I still act like a puppy sometimes. I have energy to burn, so a few trips to the doggie park or lots of walks work for me. But if you give me belly rubs, I'll gladly lie calmly while you watch TV. I love treats too. I would make a great addition to any active family with some quality time to spend with me. Can you please stop by and visit me today at Tampa Bay SPCA? We will bond in no time!

Oct 10

Congratulations to Karen Scarpinato for the wonderful picture of Mahogany #11407540.

And a second congratulations to Cindy Crane for the creative bio of Eva #10279712 !

Eva came to the shelter several months ago when she was seized from her owner. She was living with her previous owner in a car with two other large-breed dogs along with her 11 puppies that were living in the trunk! When she arrived at the shelter, she was so skinny you could count every bone in her body! Given her circumstances she was still a wonderful mother to her puppies and she had a great disposition! She has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter. As you can see she has gained weight and gotten her figure back and has been treated for her heartworm. All her puppies have since been adopted and now it's Eva's turn to find her forever home. Eva has a great personality and seems to be a fast learner with all the basic commands. She is good with other dogs and loves to play with them. She has been a joy to have at the shelter and everyone here has been waiting for the day when she could finally be made available for adoption and that day has come. It is her turn for a happy ending. Please ask to meet Eva and see the wonderful dog we've had the joy of getting to know for the past few months

Congratulations to Stephanie Monti for the wonderful picture of LaLa #02445664 .

And a second congratulations to Andy Fowley for the creative bio of Fuzzy #11436859 !

At almost 3 years old, this delightful little calico is actually fully grown but she's still really petite. That's very handy as she seems more than happy to be carried all day long! When she is down on the floor, she loves nothing more than to stroll around purring with her dark tail high in the air as she investigates her surroundings. That chaotic coat of hers and those sweet little white boots make her look sooo cute!

Congratulations to Cindy Schneller for the wonderful picture of Natasha #11480760 .

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Hilton #11303122 !

This happy camper is Hilton and he is looking for a great new home! This playful wigging tailed Lab LOVES playing in our doggie pool area! He has a loving personality and with a medium energy level he is great for the average active family. Hilton is somewhat laid back too; so, TV time is fine with Hilton too. He enjoys leash walks and doesn't pull at all! His obedience skills are great as he can sit and lie down. He loves car rides and nature. Because his owner had financial problems, Hilton is starting over. He is a follower and is very relaxed with people around him. Please, if you think you might be able to give Hilton the love, structure and stability he needs; stop in and bond today.

And a second congratulations to Andy Fowley for the creative bio of Shadow #11283385 !

Shadow is a larger than average kitty with a beautiful grey coat and striking golden eyes. She is absolutely delightful, just wanting to hang out with you and sit by your side. I discovered that she LOVES a little work out with her scratch post, especially after a sniff of catnip!

Congratulations to Jim McCook for the wonderful picture of Bella #11339547 .

And a second congratulations to Michele Angermeier for the creative bio of Jean #10579999!

She is as soft as a whisper and as beautiful as a cloud. Coo-coo-cooing is what you hear. What you see is a beautiful white dove sitting side by side with her sister Betty. They look a lot alike with one subtle difference. If you get close you will see that Jean has a gray ring around her neck. Both ladies have sweet personalities and have lived with children. They are looking for a home together. If you have experience with birds or doves, please hurry in to meet these sisters. They are looking for a place to spread their wings and be loved.

And a second congratulations to Deb Conigliaro for the creative bio of Sparticus #11063315!

Hello Everyone!!! My name is Sparticus and I am now in the process of interviewing humans for my new family. First, let me tell you about myself. I am an 8 month old, Boxer/Hound puppy that weighs in at 51 pounds. I am very handsome, with my brindle fur, floppy ears and deep brown eyes. I am still a puppy and would like to find someone who is willing to take me for long walks, play with me and have the patience to teach me all of the rules of their home. I already know how to sit on command and will lie down for a treat - so I am off to a great start. I am a very friendly and happy dog and I know that I will make my new owner proud. I was transferred in to the SPCA Tampa Bay from another shelter so I would have a better chance at meeting my new family. Please come to the shelter to meet me!

Congratulations to Jim McCook for the wonderful picture of Barney #4384848 .

And a second congratulations to Jim McCook for the creative bio of Dibo #6052333 !

This is our Barney, a 6.5 year old male. He loves to cuddle, loves attention from people and likes nothing better than having has ears scratch. He's not a barker but follows his nose. Barney likes walks but does not like to go to far because he tires easily. Barney loves food and (typical for a basset!) he has a very good sense of smell, so keep the garbage can out of his way. He loves people but should not be around small children at his age. He gets along with other dogs. He is house trained and sleeps on his doggie bed. His previous owners loved him, but a health problem forced them to surrender Barney in hopes he will find another home. Are you someone who can give this sweet guy the extra attention he needs? In return Barney will show you what basset love is all about.

Dibo is a loving, playful, friendly guy. He is looking for a new family because his old family had to move to Miami and could not bring him along. Dibo is charming and has a happy disposition. He seems to always have a smile on his face. He wanted me to tell you that he is already housetrained and that he will do his best to learn what you expect of him. Please come to SPCA Tampa Bay to meet Dibo. He will be waiting for you.
